IOP - INTERIM OPERATING COMPLEX IN MODULAR DESIGN AT THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL CARL GUSTAV CARUS DRESDEN

When building the new interim operating room complex, the following areas had to be taken into account:

4 operating rooms, recovery area and adjoining rooms. In the Class B operating rooms, both inpatients and outpatients are operated on. The adjoining rooms are designed for both patient groups.

One of the operating rooms is equipped with appropriate radiation protection for the use of an X-ray machine during the surgical process.

The modular complex is connected to the neighboring building 19 and the wards via a connector. The planned service life of the complex of 5 years justifies an economical overall solution. The replacement solution creates the possibility for the reconstruction of operating rooms in other areas of the UKD. The operating complex is located in the listed hospital campus of the university clinic. The facade and materials used are adapted to the surrounding buildings.
