H30 - RENOVATION AND REDESIGN OF THE CLINIC FOR PLASTIC SURGERY AND ORTHOPEDICS AT THE UK CARL GUSTAV CARUS DRESDEN

For House 30, a plan had to be drawn up and implemented to set up a central and interdisciplinary functional area for “Plastic Surgery and Orthopaedics”.

It is an old building in solid masonry construction.

The installation and conversion work extended to parts of the ground floor. The task of creating an additional, separate, representative entrance area was architecturally challenging. The building services concept, particularly the ventilation, was redesigned and had a significant impact on the structural design of the area.

The existing construction was supplemented by drywall construction, lightweight construction (e.g. glass partition walls), but also larger supports for the floor slabs with steel beams of appropriate dimensions.
