BER - CONCEPT STUDY FOR REFUGEE ACCOMMODATIONS IN BERLIN

The task involved developing proposals for the construction of new buildings or the conversion of existing buildings into refugee accommodation. When developing the concept, the interests of the refugees and the local population had to be taken into account. To this end, complex proposals had to be made that included an outlook on concrete solutions.

In addition to information on legal bases, the study included proposed solutions for effective, sustainable construction in conjunction with expandable or variable buildings, adaptable to the needs of the internal and external structure.

System solutions for single rooms, apartments, residential groups,

Family apartments including ancillary and service rooms or common areas,

different variants of the arrangement of the buildings as well as architectural example solutions

regarding the conversion or merging of the basic building blocks.
