H11 - RENOVATION, RENOVATION AND REORGANISATION OF THE ENT CLINIC AT THE CARL GUSTAV CARUS UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN DRESDEN

The building, which was constructed in 1901 for surgery, has been used for various clinical functions over the years. Conversion and renovation work resulted in examination, treatment and therapy rooms for ENT, speech therapy and audiometry as well as the necessary ancillary rooms on the ground floor.

In addition to additional therapy rooms, the attic floor houses the medical service and four apartments with a common area for the temporary accommodation of parents with children undergoing treatment. The basement floor contains changing rooms and technical areas. The structural renovation of the clinic was carried out while operations continued (maintaining the clinic's function in 2 construction phases) and included a complete gutting and reconstruction.
