H71 - RENOVATION, RENOVATION AND EXTENSION OF THE CLINIC AND POLYCLINIC FOR CHILDREN'S AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY AND PSYCHOTHERAPY - AT THE UK CARL GUSTAV CARUS IN DRESDEN

The listed building, originally used as a guest house for the Dresden University Hospital, was converted into outpatient facilities for the clinic and polyclinic for child and adolescent psychiatry and psychotherapy. Three day clinics and an outpatient clinic were set up. The focus of the work is diagnosis, day clinic therapy and long-term and continuous aftercare for children and adolescents with psychotic disorders.

Examination and treatment rooms, doctor's offices and rooms for special therapy functions such as art and occupational therapy, therapy kitchens and group therapy rooms were classified.

During the renovation work, the building was upgraded to ensure fire protection, the rooms were made barrier-free and the building structure was optimized for energy efficiency. The building services installations were renewed in line with the latest state of the art technology.
