H06 - RENOVATION AND RENOVATION OF HOUSE 6 AT THE CARL GUSTAV CARUS UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN DRESDEN INTO A MEDICAL CARE CENTER

The building, originally constructed in 1901 as a ward with wards, was rebuilt several times and was used as an internal clinic with outpatient and laboratory areas until it was converted into a medical care center. After conversion and renovation, it houses a surgical outpatient clinic on the ground floor, practice rooms for general practitioners and a pediatrician on the first floor, as well as a psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic and administrative rooms in the newly converted attic.

The planning was carried out in stages according to RLBau Sachsen and other administrative regulations for public construction projects. At the start of the planning, a target planning study was carried out to determine which outpatient facilities could be integrated into the building in direct partnership with the university hospital.

The building was rebuilt in 4 construction phases and put into operation floor by floor. The first construction phase was completed while the building was still in operation. In 2006, 2007 and 2008, the surgical outpatient clinic was modernized first, then the outpatient clinic for general practitioners and pediatricians, and last year the psychotherapeutic outpatient clinic. The entire building was renovated and rebuilt in stages and made into a representative part of a modern hospital complex.
